Works in Progress Revue!

Works in Progress Revue! post thumbnail

Hello, New Mooners!

You are invited to participate in Works In Progress, a night for circus artists to present unpolished demos in a low-pressure, supportive, come-as-you-are environment. Imperfection is not only expected but celebrated.

  • Do you have a new skill you’re excited about, you’ve got it down, but it’s not yet super pretty? We want to support you in that journey!
  • Are you new to performing and curious about doing circus in front of an audience? Let us be your first audience!
  • Maybe you have only a section of an act in development that you want to share. We want to see that unfinished work-in-progress!

Circus artists of all stripes are wanted, not only aerialists. Burlesquers, contortionists, and hand-balancing enthusiasts, join us!

Works in Progress is happening on Friday, October 24th, from 7:00-9:00pm in the Front Room. Demos will begin at 7:15pm. The Loft will be available for warm-ups beforehand. This is an entirely FREE event, whether you do a demo, or only watch. Guests are welcome (18+).

Speaking of demos, they need to be ~3 minutes or less, as space is limited. Below is a link to the demo sign-up sheet. If you don’t care about music, you can leave that blank. If you’re demoing a skill or two, and don’t know how much time you need, give your best estimate.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out. Looking forward to a fun night of encouraging and engaged circus community!
